Most businesses are neither of these, and pay the flat price. You would be the exception if you trade from more than one address, or if what you do splits into so many separate jobs that a single list will not cover them and each needs writing up properly.

I will tell you which of those you are before any work starts. It is one fixed amount, not a quote, and it is the only variation there is — nothing else can be added later.

How paying works

50% to start, 50% before it goes live. Nothing is due to see the demo — the first half is due when you have looked at it and want the rest built.

If you decide against it after seeing the demo, you owe nothing and there is nothing to cancel.

Plans in this market run roughly $50–$200 a month. At the very cheapest end, 3 years of payments comes to $1,800 — less than I charge. You would still own nothing at the end of them, and the site would still go dark the month you stopped.

These are not upsells and there is no tier that withholds them. They are how the work is done, and they are the reason the monthly bill is zero.

There is no monthly plan.

Most shops sell you a $50–200/month “website plan”. Stop paying and the site goes dark, because it was never yours. I would rather charge once, hand you the keys, and have you not need me again.

The hosting is genuinely free rather than absorbed into a fee — a static site at the traffic a local business gets costs nothing to serve, and the account it sits in is yours. There is no margin in it for me to protect, which is exactly why I can hand it over.

The obvious question

Where is the catch?

You should be asking. Someone you have never met offering to build your website before you pay is the exact shape of a scam, and telling you it is not one proves nothing. So here is how each part actually works — check any of it.

Why would you build it before I pay?

Because cold-calling does not work and I would rather show you than tell you. Building a homepage costs me an afternoon. Enough people say yes to make that worth doing, and the ones who say no cost me an afternoon — which is cheaper than a sales team.

How is the hosting free forever?

Because there is nothing to run. Your site is plain files — no database, no server, nothing to keep switched on. Cloudflare serves files like that free, with no bandwidth limit, on an account in your name. I am not absorbing a cost to be generous; at this size there genuinely is not one.

What do you get out of it?

The one payment. There is no commission on your domain, no kickback from the host, no cut of anything, and nothing of yours gets sold or shared. If you never speak to me again after launch, I have still been paid what I quoted.

What if I say no?

Then it ends there. You owe nothing, there is nothing to cancel, and I do not follow up. The preview comes down after a while and that is the end of it.

And the things I will not do.

  • No contract to sign, and nothing that auto-renews
  • No monthly fee, now or later
  • I never ask for your passwords — not your bank, not your email, not anything
  • Nothing you send me is sold, shared, or added to a list
  • No upsells after launch, and no charge for a typo
  • No lock-in — the files are yours and any web person can edit them
